Our Annual Rhythms

At Momentum Church, we love creating meaningful rhythms throughout the year that give our church family regular opportunities to gather, celebrate, grow together, and encounter God in meaningful ways.
While exact dates may shift slightly each year, this is what you can typically expect through the seasons.

Lent and Easter

From reflection and prayer to celebration and community outreach, the Easter season at Momentum Church invites us to walk together through the story of Jesus’ love, sacrifice, and resurrection.

Ash Wednesday (Late Winter)

We start the Lenten season with a quiet, reflective gathering focused on repentance and preparing our hearts for Easter. It’s a meaningful moment to slow down and focus on Jesus.

Palm Sunday (Week Before Easter)

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week as we remember Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. It’s a joyful, reflective service that prepares our hearts for the journey to the cross.

Good Friday (Friday Before Easter)

A solemn and powerful service where we remember the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Through Scripture and reflection, we take time to sit in the weight and significance of His love for us.

Easter Egg Hunt (Spring – March/April)

One of our favorite outreach events of the year! Families from our community join us for a fun, high-energy egg hunt filled with games, treats, and connection. It’s a joyful way to celebrate the hope of Easter.

Easter Service (Easter Sunday)

We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with a hope-filled, joy-filled service. This is a powerful time of worship and teaching as we proclaim the good news that Jesus is alive!

Summer Connections

Summer at Momentum is filled with opportunities for kids, families, and our community to build friendships, have fun, and grow in faith together.

Blooming Grove Fire Department Pancake Breakfasts (Summer)

Momentum Church began meeting in the Blooming Grove Firehall, and we remain thankful for the role the fire department played in our story. Throughout the year, we continue to support the Blooming Grove Fire Department by volunteering at and attending their community pancake breakfasts. It’s a simple but meaningful way for us to stay connected, serve our neighbors, and support an organization that generously welcomed us in our early days as a church.
Vacation Bible School Camp (August)

VBS is a 3-day summer experience where kids dive into biblical truth in a fun, engaging, and memorable way. With themed decorations, storytelling, games, snacks, and music, kids rotate through interactive stations that bring the Bible to life.

Momentum Fest (September)

Momentum Fest is our anniversary celebration designed to bring the whole community together. It’s a relaxed, fun atmosphere with food, activities, and connection for all ages.

Fall Outreach & Giving

As the seasons change, we look for meaningful ways to serve our community locally and globally through fun gatherings and generous giving.

Trunk or Treat (October)

A fun and safe community event where families enjoy decorated trunks, candy, and creative themes. It’s a simple, welcoming way to connect with our neighbors during the fall season.

Operation Christmas Child (November)

As a church, we participate in packing shoebox gifts for children around the world. It’s a tangible way for our congregation to share the love of Jesus globally leading to the Christmas season.

Christmas at Momentum

During the Christmas season, we gather to celebrate the birth of Jesus and reflect on the hope and peace He brings.

Advent (The Four Weeks Leading to Christmas)

During the four weeks leading up to Christmas, we observe Advent together as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Jesus’ birth. Each week focuses on a different theme—Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love—reminding us of the promises of God and the gift of Christ to the world.
Christmas Eve Service (December 24)

A meaningful and reflective gathering as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. With music, Scripture, and a peaceful atmosphere, it’s a special time for individuals and families to pause and experience the hope and joy of Christmas.

  • Give financially to help keep these experiences free and accessible to our community
  • Serve your time and talents when volunteer opportunities arise
  • Shop with purpose by taking advantage of sales throughout the year—even after holidays—and setting aside items for upcoming events
